Podcast Production · For ICONS clients
ICONS Review: review and approve your episodes in one place
ICONS Review is a video and audio review tool from ICONS of Real Estate. Clients open a share link, with no account, and leave comments pinned to an exact frame or time range. Each new edit is kept as a numbered version and marked In review, Needs changes or Approved.
If ICONS produces your show, this is where you sign off each episode, trailer and clip. It is free: nothing to buy, nothing to install.

Why It Exists
The Feedback Problems It Removes
Approving an episode should take minutes. These are the things that usually make it take a week.
"Around the middle, change that bit."
Every comment is pinned to an exact frame and timecode. Click it and you land on the same picture the client saw.
Feedback by email, text and voice note.
All notes for an edit live in one list, with replies, and each one can be ticked off as resolved.
"Which version did the client approve?"
Each upload is a numbered version with its own status: In review, Needs changes or Approved.
"I'm not creating another account to watch a video."
Clients open the share link. The first time they comment they type their name. That is all it takes.
An unreleased episode you don't want forwarded.
Links can have a passphrase, an expiry date and a viewer-name watermark on screen, and can be switched off at any time.
Subtitle fixes retyped line by line.
Cross out or add words directly on a subtitle line. The corrected subtitle file downloads with accepted changes applied.
Notes copied into the editing software by hand.
Comments export as DaVinci Resolve timeline markers, a spreadsheet or a subtitle file.
How It Works
Pause. Comment. Approve.
Six steps from first edit to signed-off episode. You are involved in three of them.
- 01
The ICONS team uploads your edit
Or sends a finished ICONS Live recording straight into Review, transcript included.
- 02
You get a share link
The team chooses what the link allows: comment, approve, download originals, see earlier versions.
- 03
Pause, comment, draw
Press play, pause on any moment and type your note. Draw on the frame if a picture says it faster.
- 04
The team works through the notes
Each comment is marked resolved, and the next edit is uploaded as a new version.
- 05
You approve the final version
Change the status yourself if your link allows approving, or confirm and the team marks it Approved.
- 06
Subtitles get fixed in the same place
Suggest word-level changes on the subtitle lines. The team downloads the corrected subtitle file.
What's In It
Everything In ICONS Review
Four areas: organizing and uploading, comments and approval, transcripts and subtitles, and sharing with clients.
Organizing and uploading
- Projects, folders, tags and search, grouped by client or show
- Video, audio, images and PDFs, up to 50 GB per file
- Uploads are sent in pieces and resume if interrupted
- A smooth-playing review copy (up to 1080p) with timeline thumbnails and an audio waveform; the original stays untouched
- Versions: a new upload on the same item becomes v2, v3 and so on, with history kept
- Compare two versions side by side or with a sliding wipe
- Finished ICONS Live recordings move into Review with their transcript, no download and re-upload
Comments and approval
- Frame-accurate comments on video; audio timed to the millisecond; PDFs by page
- Range comments: mark an in and out point and comment on the whole stretch
- Draw on the paused frame with pen, arrow, rectangle and circle in several colors
- Replies, resolve and hide-resolved, so comments become a to-do list
- Every version is In review, Needs changes or Approved, shown as a badge
- Export comments as CSV, SRT or DaVinci Resolve timeline markers (EDL)
- Editor controls: frame stepping, timecode and frame number, J, K, L, space, I and O shortcuts
Transcripts and subtitles
- Automatic transcript in a searchable panel; click a line to jump there (English model by default)
- Upload the editor's subtitle file (SRT or VTT, up to 2 MB) and switch between files
- Captions along the bottom of the picture, on or off, to check words against the speaker
- Suggest subtitle edits: cross out, replace or add words, or comment on the line, like suggesting mode in a document
- The team accepts or rejects each suggestion and downloads the corrected subtitle file
Sharing with clients
- Share links with no client account: give a name (email optional) the first time you comment
- Review mode for comments, or presentation mode to watch a final cut
- Per-link permissions: comment, approve, download originals, see earlier versions
- Passphrase, expiry date and instant switch-off; passphrases are stored in scrambled (hashed) form, never as readable text
- On-screen viewer watermark showing the viewer's name or email
- A message to reviewers (up to 500 characters) and a logo or accent color on the link
- Link activity: the team can see who opened, commented or approved, and when

What's Different
Built For The Way Episodes Actually Get Approved
Five things you can see in the product itself.
Whole frames, not approximate seconds.
The review copy is re-timed for exact frames, so a comment lands on one picture, every time.
Subtitles corrected inside the review.
Suggest word changes on the subtitle lines and download the corrected file. No second tool, no retyping.
Straight into DaVinci Resolve.
Comments export as Resolve timeline markers, so the editor sees the notes on the timeline.
Connected to ICONS Live.
A finished recording moves into review with its transcript, without downloading anything.
Nothing for clients to install or join.
Open the link, press play, type your name the first time you comment.
Compared
Shared Drives And Review Platforms vs ICONS Review
Most feedback on podcast edits arrives as emails, texts, voice notes or comments on a shared-drive file. Review platforms exist, but they are built for teams that buy seats.
Email, Texts And Shared Drives
The usual way
- Notes describe a moment instead of pointing at it
- Feedback lands in three inboxes and one phone
- Nobody is sure which file is the latest
- Approval is a "looks good" message somewhere
- Subtitle fixes get retyped by hand
- Your editor copies the notes across manually
ICONS Review
For ICONS production clients
- Comments pinned to the exact frame and timecode, with drawings
- One list of notes per edit, with replies and resolve
- Numbered versions, each In review, Needs changes or Approved
- Approval is a status on the version, not a text message
- Suggest subtitle fixes on the line; the corrected file downloads
- Comments export as DaVinci Resolve markers, CSV or SRT
- No client account, no seats to buy, no software to install
General-purpose review platforms such as Frame.io charge per team member on their paid plans (from $15 a member a month, with a free plan for up to two members) and list passphrase protection and link expiry as paid features. For ICONS production clients, review links with a passphrase and an expiry date are part of the production process.
