Later vs ICONS Social is a choice between a scheduler and a done-for-you post pack. Later schedules posts you make yourself, from $18.75 a month billed yearly (October 2026 pricing). ICONS Social is free: when you guest on an ICONS podcast, it writes about 10 posts in your own words and publishes them once you approve.

Later and ICONS Social side by side

Later and ICONS Social both publish to an agent’s social accounts, but only ICONS Social writes them from your episode. The Later column comes from Later’s pricing page and feature pages, read on October 19, 2026.

What does Later cost?

Later costs $18.75 to $82.50 a month billed yearly as of October 2026, across three plans, each with a 14-day free trial. Later’s pricing page shows a monthly-billing toggle, but the monthly amounts did not appear in the text we read, so check the toggle before you buy.

  • Starter, $18.75 a month billed yearly: 1 social set (8 profiles), 1 user, up to 30 posts per profile, 5 AI credits a month and 3 months of analytics. No approval workflow.
  • Growth, $37.50 a month billed yearly: 2 social sets (16 profiles), 2 users, up to 180 posts per profile, 50 AI credits, a year of analytics, approvals, Social Inbox and custom roles.
  • Scale, $82.50 a month billed yearly: 6 social sets (48 profiles), 4 users, unlimited posts, 100 AI credits, two years of analytics, competitor benchmarking and Meta ads analytics.

A social set, in Later’s words, is one profile from each supported platform. For a solo agent with one Instagram, one Facebook and one LinkedIn, Starter covers the profiles. The cap to watch is 30 posts per profile. At one post a day you’ll hit that limit, so check how Later counts it before you plan a daily schedule.

Is ICONS Social free for guests?

ICONS Social is free for agents who guest on an ICONS show, and for ICONS DIY Podcast users. There is no plan to pick. For ICONS production clients, the ICONS team does all of this for them.

It starts when your episode goes live and ends with approved posts going out on a schedule; the full flow is here.

The result is a month of social content promoting you and your episode, without you writing a first draft.

Which one writes the posts for you?

ICONS Social writes the posts; Later mostly expects you to bring them. That is the real difference, and it matters more than price for a busy agent.

Later’s AI help sits at the caption level. Its Caption Writer page says the tool generates Instagram captions from a prompt you type, and can pick up your tone from earlier posts. Each generation uses one AI credit, and Starter gets 5 credits a month. We found no mention on the Later pages we read of turning a podcast, transcript or long video into posts or clips. So the photo, the carousel, the clip and the idea behind each one are still your job, or your assistant’s.

ICONS Social starts from a recording you already made. The quotes are lines you said on air, so the posts sound like you rather than like a generic caption tool. The limit is the source: it works from your ICONS episode, not from a listing shoot or a market update you recorded on your phone.

How do approvals and compliance checks compare?

Later offers approvals on its higher plans; ICONS Social puts approval and compliance checks in front of every post. Later’s approval workflow page says team collaboration and content approvals are available on Growth plans and higher.

On Later, reviewers can approve content and members can request approval. The same page says members’ scheduled posts publish regardless of approval status, so approval there is a team process, not a hard stop. External reviewers can leave feedback without a Later account. We found no mention of compliance or fair-housing review on the Later pages we read.

ICONS Social has three checks built in. The drafted posts go through fair-housing and disclosure checks. Consent checks run before a guest’s face or voice is used. And nothing posts until you approve it.

These checks don’t replace your broker. Your brokerage’s advertising rules still apply to every post under your name, whichever tool publishes it. The real estate podcast compliance guide covers the rules agents run into, and your broker has the final word.

Can a real estate agent use Later and ICONS Social together?

Later and ICONS Social can run side by side, because they cover different posts. ICONS Social handles the pack from your ICONS episode; Later can carry the listings, open houses and market updates you post the rest of the month.

A few things to sort out if you run both:

  • Don’t double up. If ICONS Social is publishing your episode pack to Instagram that week, keep your Later calendar lighter on those days so the episode posts aren’t buried.
  • Point back to the episode. Use your Later posts and Link in Bio to send people to the full conversation, so the episode keeps working after the pack runs out.
  • Keep one approver. On Later’s Growth plan an assistant can submit posts for approval. Have the person who approves your ICONS Social pack approve those too, so your voice stays consistent.

Where Later does more

Later does more as an everyday social media tool, and for most agents that is what they need most weeks of the year:

  • Anything you want to post. Listings, open houses, team news and market updates, with or without a podcast behind them.
  • More platforms. Later lists Threads, Pinterest and Snapchat on top of the five ICONS Social posts to.
  • Planning tools. A visual planner, Best Time to Post suggestions and Smart Scheduling on Growth.
  • Link in Bio and analytics. Link in Bio comes on every plan, and analytics history runs from 3 months on Starter up to 2 years on Scale.
  • Social Inbox and team roles on Growth and higher, for a team with an assistant or marketing coordinator.
  • Open sign-up. Anyone can start a 14-day trial today.

Where ICONS Social does more

ICONS Social’s advantages are in the content itself, not the calendar:

  • It writes the first draft of about 10 posts, so you don’t start from a blank screen.
  • Your own words. Quotes and clips come from what you said on the episode.
  • Clips and carousels included. We found no mention of video clipping on the Later pages we read.
  • Real estate checks. Fair-housing, disclosure and consent checks are built in.
  • Built for real estate, and for promoting both you and the episode you appeared on.

If you want to do more with a guest appearance than the pack covers, the guide to repurposing a podcast guest appearance lists the other ways to use it, from email to listing presentations.

Later or ICONS Social: which should you choose?

Choose Later if you want a scheduler for everything you post, and ICONS Social for the month after you guest on an ICONS show. They overlap less than the names suggest. Here is how it plays out for four kinds of agent:

  • Solo agent posting listings and updates every week: Later. Starter covers a solo agent’s profiles; move to Growth if an assistant needs to submit posts for your approval.
  • Guest, or soon-to-be guest, on an ICONS show: ICONS Social for the episode content. Keep Later or the native apps for everything else.
  • Running your own show on ICONS DIY Podcast: ICONS Social is free for you too, so use it before paying for a second tool.
  • No podcast appearance yet: Later, or nothing new. ICONS Social only starts once there is an episode, so the first step is getting booked.

Social posting is one part of turning content into business; the guide to real estate content lead generation shows where it fits. If ICONS Social is what you’re after, the way in for most agents is a guest spot: apply to be a guest on an ICONS podcast. If you’d rather run your own show, ICONS DIY Podcast includes it.
