Podcast graphics tools come in two types: design apps for covers and social posts, and audiogram tools for turning audio clips into video. Compared on October 2026 prices, Canva Pro is US$144 a year, Adobe Express Premium is US$9.99 a month, Headliner and Wavve start at $7.99 a month, and ICONS Design Studio is free.

How do the podcast graphics tools compare on price?

The five graphics tools start between free and about $12 a month, but they do different jobs. Prices are from each company’s own site, read on October 9, 2026; ICONS facts are from its Design Studio page.

Each tool gets a closer look against ICONS Design Studio:

What does Canva cost in 2026?

Canva costs US$0 on Free, US$144 a year on Pro and US$250 a year per person on Business, as shown on its US pricing page with the Yearly tab selected and tax excluded. Enterprise is priced through sales. The page says yearly billing saves from 16% against monthly; the monthly figures weren’t read.

What each Canva plan lists:

  • Free: 1,000+ design types, 1.6M+ templates, 4.7M+ photos, videos, graphics and audio, 1 Brand Kit (3 colors only), 5GB of cloud storage, up to 20 Standard or Premium AI uses.
  • Pro: AI tools such as resize, translate and remove background, 3.6M+ templates including premium, 141M+ premium stock assets, 5 Brand Kits, social content scheduling, 100GB of storage, 10x the AI of Free, and an AI Pass add-on at extra cost.
  • Business: collaboration and team admin tools, 100 Brand Kits and approvals, access to Flourish, a 10% discount on print orders, 500GB of storage and 20x the AI of Free.

Canva notes that its features and offerings may change over time.

Which tools are for covers and which are for audiograms?

Adobe Express and Canva are general design apps, while Headliner and Wavve are built around audiograms and social video. ICONS Design Studio covers both, for podcast graphics only.

  • Covers, episode art and thumbnails. Canva lists 1.6M+ templates on Free and 3.6M+ on Pro. Adobe Express lists 268,000+ templates on its free plan in its comparison table and offers “dozens” of podcast cover template ideas. ICONS Design Studio has 76 templates and exports covers as 3000x3000 JPGs under 512 KB.
  • Audiograms. Headliner makes audiograms with “simple waveform animations” and can create and post them automatically. Wavve makes Wavveform videos and includes a social media scheduler. ICONS Design Studio makes 3 to 90 second audiograms from the episode’s audio. Canva’s pricing page doesn’t mention audiograms.
  • Captions. Headliner transcribes in 100+ languages. Wavve’s FAQ lists dozens of caption languages but no translation. ICONS Design Studio captions audiograms when the episode was recorded in ICONS Live.

Cover size rules for Apple Podcasts and Spotify are in our podcast artwork size guide.

What are the free plans and limits?

Each tool’s free or entry option has one limit an agent will hit first. From each company’s own pages:

  1. Canva Free: 1 Brand Kit with 3 colors only, up to 20 AI uses, and “Customize templates” and “Design in bulk” marked unavailable on Canva’s compare table.
  2. Adobe Express Free: no 4K export, video up to 30 minutes, brand kits and multi-format resize on paid plans only.
  3. Headliner Forever Free: ad-supported, 1 unwatermarked audiogram a month, unlimited watermarked ones.
  4. Wavve: no free plan, only a trial; Starter caps you at 70 upload minutes and 18 exported videos a month.
  5. ICONS Design Studio: access by request rather than instant sign-up; no stock-photo library, no live co-editing, no posting to social media, no phone or tablet support.

Adobe’s and Wavve’s own pages contradict themselves in places, on template counts, background removal and team seats. The detailed comparisons above note each conflict.

What does a year of each tool cost?

A year of these graphics tools costs between nothing and US$250 for one person. These are worked sums from the listed prices in October 2026, not quotes.

What graphics does a real estate podcast need?

A real estate podcast needs a small, repeatable set of graphics for every episode, whichever tool makes them. Plan the set once and every episode gets faster.

  • Show cover art. One square image for Apple Podcasts, Spotify and the rest. Design it once and leave it alone.
  • Episode art. An optional square image per episode, with the title and guest. It helps when you share single episodes.
  • YouTube thumbnail. A 1280x720 image if you publish video, with a face and three or four words at most.
  • Quote card. One line from the guest, checked against what they actually said.
  • Audiogram or short clip. A captioned 30 to 90 second moment for Instagram, LinkedIn or Facebook.
  • Guest share graphic. A version the guest can post, so their own audience can find the episode.

Pick tools that make this set with the least retyping. In Design Studio these fill from the episode. For a show built on general tools, a design app plus an audiogram tool covers it.

Which graphics tool fits your situation?

The right graphics tool depends on whether you need still graphics, audiograms, or both filled from the episode.

  • Solo agent making all their own marketing: Canva or Adobe Express for listings, thumbnails and social posts, plus Headliner’s free plan if you want audiograms. Add ICONS Design Studio for the episode art at no cost.
  • Team with a producer or editor: Design Studio. Episode art and audiograms fill from the episode and arrive for approval by link.
  • Agent who posts clips on a schedule: Wavve or Headliner, for audiograms with scheduling or auto-posting built in.

If you use AI on property photos in any tool, never present the result as the real home, and check your MLS and broker rules. Your podcast graphics are one part of a bigger brand system, covered in personal branding for real estate agents. To have the graphics made alongside editing and publishing, Icons podcast production includes them.

Frequently asked questions

What's the lowest-cost way to make podcast cover art?

Free plans. Canva Free is US$0 with 1.6M+ templates, Adobe Express describes its free plan as free to use with no credit card, and ICONS Design Studio is free with 76 podcast templates and access through the form on its page. Headliner's free plan is built for audiograms rather than covers.

What is the difference between a design tool and an audiogram tool?

A design tool like Canva or Adobe Express makes still graphics, such as covers, thumbnails and social posts, and some video. An audiogram tool like Headliner or Wavve turns a clip of podcast audio into a video with a moving waveform and captions. ICONS Design Studio does both.

Which tools have a mobile app?

Adobe Express says it works on desktop browsers and mobile phones, and Headliner has a mobile app. Wavve's FAQ says it does not have an app in any app store, and ICONS Design Studio runs in a browser on a computer only. Canva's pricing page lists Canva Offline on all plans but doesn't describe devices.

Can I use AI images in my podcast graphics?

Canva counts AI uses by plan, Adobe Express includes AI image generation, and ICONS Design Studio has AI image tools that tag PNG and JPG exports as made with AI. Never present an AI-edited property photo as the real home; ICONS suggests the caption 'Illustrative AI image, not the actual property.'
