Open Home Pro vs ICONS open-house sign-in comes down to timing. Open Home Pro is a tablet sign-in app you can use this weekend: free for your first 25 leads, then $25 a month or $240 a year as of October 2026. ICONS open-house sign-in is a planned, free tool that isn’t out yet.

What is Open Home Pro, and what does it cost?

Open Home Pro is a digital sign-in app that replaces the paper sheet at an open house and collects each visitor’s details on a tablet. Its home page FAQ describes it as an app “for iPad and Android tablets,” with a web version too.

Its help center’s systems page is specific: iPad on iOS 12 or later, Android 5 or higher, and the browser. It also says you must download the app on your tablet first to create an account and collect leads. Once you have an account, you can manage listings, photos and emails on the website.

As of October 2026, there are two plans:

  • Free ($0, “free forever”): unlimited open houses and listings, a digital sign-in sheet, visitor notes, lead export and shareable single-property websites. You can view and manage your first 25 leads.
  • Premium: everything in Free, plus unlimited leads, custom sign-in questions, automatic follow-up emails with your branding, email open tracking and advanced lead management.

Open Home Pro’s pricing page shows Premium at $25 a month. Its free-accounts help page gives both options: $25 a month, or $240 a year, which works out to $20 a month paid annually. We found no mention of a Premium free trial, though the free plan itself never expires.

What will ICONS open-house sign-in do?

ICONS open-house sign-in is a free sign-in tool ICONS plans to build. It isn’t available yet, and ICONS hasn’t published a launch date. The planned launch scope is short and practical:

  • Sign-in on an iPad or a phone. The form will run as a web app in the browser.
  • Offline use. It will work at the property without a connection, which matters in basements, rural listings and new builds with no Wi-Fi.
  • Seller report. You’ll get a PDF to send your seller after the open house.
  • Email follow-up. Visitors will get an email, and it can include your latest ICONS episode.
  • Consent. The form will capture the visitor’s permission at sign-in.

Three things are not in the launch scope: automatic texting of visitors without SMS consent, texting paid for by ICONS, and MLS or listing data feeds. ICONS also hasn’t decided which CRM it will connect to.

An episode link in the follow-up email is the ICONS angle. If you’ve guested on an ICONS show, every visitor who signs in will be able to hear you talk about the market in your own words. That builds more trust than a “thanks for stopping by” note. Posts from that episode are handled by ICONS Social, which is live today.

How long does Open Home Pro’s free plan last?

Open Home Pro’s free plan never expires, but its 25-lead limit counts every lead you’ve ever captured, not 25 per open house. The help center says the free version lets you “capture all leads,” yet you can only view and manage your first 25, and you receive email reports for those 25 only.

Follow-up emails on the free plan also stop after your first 25 leads. So the free plan is really a trial measured in visitors, not days.

Which one fits your CRM and follow-up?

Open Home Pro does not connect directly to any CRM. Its CRM FAQ says it “is not currently integrated with any CRMs” and points you to a CSV export instead. Most CRMs accept a CSV upload, so the workflow is export, then import, after each open house.

On iPad and Android, the export arrives as a CSV attached to an email, which means your tablet’s mail app must be set up first. The features page also says you can save new leads to your device’s contact list.

Open Home Pro’s follow-up is email only. On Premium, the help center says the app sends a thank-you email after the visit and can email all visitors if the price drops or the listing status changes. Emails go out when the app syncs, so an offline open house sends them later, once you’re back online.

For ICONS open-house sign-in, the CRM connection is still undecided. Whatever app you use, the follow-up only works if the leads land somewhere you check daily; our guide to turning real estate content into leads covers what to send after that first email.

Can you text open house visitors from either tool?

Texting open house visitors with marketing needs their consent first, in either tool. Under the FCC’s TCPA rules, marketing texts sent with automated tools generally need the visitor’s prior express written consent: a signed written agreement that authorizes the messages and names the phone number.

We found no mention of texting on Open Home Pro’s website or help center. ICONS open-house sign-in plans to capture consent in the form, and it will not text visitors automatically without SMS consent. Neither one replaces your broker’s advice; ask your broker how your office handles consent before you text anyone who signed in. The real estate podcast compliance guide covers the consent rules agents run into with guests and recordings.

Where Open Home Pro is ahead today

Open Home Pro’s biggest advantage is that it exists. You can download it tonight and run your next open house on it. Beyond that:

  • Listing websites. Even the free plan includes a shareable single-property website for each listing.
  • Price-drop emails. Premium can email past visitors when the price drops or the status changes.
  • Open tracking. You can see who opened your follow-up before you call.
  • Required questions. On Premium, you can make a sign-in question mandatory, with text or multiple-choice answers.
  • Visit Report. After each open house, Open Home Pro emails you the details of every lead from that day.

Two limits are worth knowing. The help center says there’s no broker-specific tool; for a broker open, it suggests tailoring the questions for agents. And cancelling means emailing support, with a reply promised within 2 business days.

Open Home Pro or ICONS open house sign-in: which should you pick?

Pick Open Home Pro if you have an open house coming up and want digital sign-in now. Wait for the free ICONS tool only if your current setup can carry you a while longer.

  • Open house this weekend: use Open Home Pro. Start on the free plan and decide about Premium once you hit 25 leads.
  • More than two open houses a month: go straight to Premium. The free cap goes fast at that pace.
  • You want sign-in on your phone, not a tablet: the planned ICONS tool will run on a phone or an iPad. Open Home Pro’s home page describes it as an app for iPad and Android tablets.
  • You’ve guested on an ICONS show: the planned follow-up email with your latest episode is the reason to join the waitlist.
  • Occasional open houses and a working process: keep what you have and wait for the free ICONS tool.

A QR code on the sign-in table that opens the listing’s page lets visitors take the details home. Our QR codes for real estate guide covers size and placement, and the free ICONS QR code generator makes one.
