ICONS Hub guide
How to apply to be a guest on real estate podcasts
Short version: create your account and profile on the ICONS Hub, find a show by theme or area, read what the host is looking for, and send a pitch with a preferred date from the podcast page. Your account then tracks the application from Pending to Released.
Step By Step
Seven Steps From Sign-Up To Release
- 01
Choose a plan and create your account
Pick a plan on the Hub, then work through the sign-up wizard: personal details, professional details, experience, location, social links, a photo and a one-sheet. Paid plans go to a secure Stripe checkout and include a 7-day free trial.
Applying needs an active plan with application credits remaining. Icons Lite includes one podcast application; see plans on the Hub for what each paid plan includes.
- 02
Finish your onboarding checklist and profile
The checklist covers the required setup steps. Your profile is what hosts read when they consider your application, so complete the bio (up to 2,000 characters), job title, brokerage, location and website, then add speaking topics, expertise tags, stats, designations, suggested interview questions and testimonials in the showcase editor.
Headshot: PNG, JPG, JPEG or WebP up to 5 MB. One-sheet: PDF up to 5 MB. Switch the profile to public to appear in the guest directory.
- 03
Find shows that fit
Open the podcast directory. Search by podcast or host name, and filter by theme (49 real estate themes, from Luxury Real Estate to Mortgage & Lending), by area, and by ICONS Network or general podcasts. Bookmark the shows you like so you can filter to your shortlist later.
- 04
Read the podcast page before you pitch
Each page lists the hosts, cover, locations, episodes, media appearances and related podcasts. Look for the "What we’re looking for" section: it tells you who the host wants on the show. If it does not match your market or expertise, move on to the next show.
- 05
Select "Apply to Be a Guest"
Write a short pitch (10 to 500 characters; optional) and add your preferred recording dates. ICONS network shows ask for a preferred date, and you can give up to four. Keep the pitch specific: the angle you would bring, and why it fits what the host said they are looking for.
You can only have one pending application per podcast at a time. The form explains this if you try to apply twice.
- 06
Track the application
Your account lists every application by stage: Pending, Approved, Scheduled, Rescheduled, Recorded, Released or Rejected. The ICONS team updates these. Credits show as limit, used and remaining for the current billing period.
- 07
Record, then keep your records straight
Upcoming, recorded, rescheduling and canceled interviews sit in "My interviews", with published episodes and a calendar of recording and release dates. If an episode outside the Hub was recorded or released, you can report it and the team reviews the update.
